Azerbaijan, the land of
mysterious treasures
The province of West Azerbaijan is one of those
legacy provinces that has a mysterious,
6,000-year-old civilization.
The capital of West Azarbaijan province is the city
of Urmia (meaning the city of water) and is the
oldest surviving city in the northwestern part of
Iran, more than 6,000 years old.
The whole province is divided into 4 cities, among
them Maku, Mahabad, Takab, Chaldaran, Sardasht and
others. Some of West Azerbaijan's historical and
tourist attractions, such as Nagorno-Karabakh, the
Forced Church and the Solomon Throne Collection, are
listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List, and each

Lake Urmia

Urmia Lake is known as Iran's
largest inland lake and the second largest saltwater
lake in the world. Many of you have seen images of
Lake Urmia in red and orange, with no niggling
water.
This discoloration is due to the activity of
microscopic organisms within Lake Urmia. These
creatures are more abundant with the onset of lake
water depletion and increasing salt concentration,
to the extent that they have a significant effect on
water color.
Takht-e Solomon

"Solomon's Throne" is the name of a place where many
mysteries and myths are embedded in the heart that
cannot be voted on or proved true.
One of the most colorful legends associated with
this building is the "Solomon's Ring". There are
legends that in ancient times, Satan was able to
reach Solomon's ring and throw it into the lake so
that it could rest on Solomon's throne. No one could
get it.
The Church

From a distance, white and black rocks in the heart
of the mountain capture your eyes and give you the
promise of a wonderful place. The name of this
wonderful place is called "The Church of the Church"
or the Church of the Holy Thaddeus or the Church of
Thetaeus.
According to historical records, this church is
considered to be the first cathedral in the
Christian world and one of the most valuable
religious sites. This place has seen many highs and
lows, from the massacre of King Santoruk to the
murder of his daughter to the death of Tataeus.
Suleiman Prison
(Divine Prison Mountain)

One of the wonders in this mysterious province is
"Solomon's Prison" or the Mountain of Prison. The
distinctive feature of this mountain is its lack of
other counterparts. The coniferous mountain was
erupted thousands of years ago by the eruption of a
volcano; there are also various stories about the
mountain, where Prophet Solomon imprisoned the
demons who obeyed his order, and therefore, The
mountain is called Devil's or Solomon's Prison.
Chameleon Gaul

"Chamli Gul" is the name of a floating island
located 2 kilometers from the town of Takab,
Azerbaijan. Chamligul is a small lake or lake in the
middle of which is an island of grass, surrounded by
tall grasses and meadows, some of which reach an
approximate height of 5 meters.
Shalmash waterfall

So far, Shalmash Waterfall is one of the
best-selling waterfalls in Iran. This waterfall,
located 2 kilometers south of Sardasht
city in West Azerbaijan, is the most important
waterfall in this province. This cascade is not just
an ordinary cascade, it is a cascade of three floors
whose floors are parallel to each other.
Grav Mining Fountain

"Gravan Mineral Springs" is located near a village
called Kani Guiz near Rabat city, 2 km northeast of
Sardasht.
This fountain is not only the source of water, but
also the creator of a work of art in the heart of

The Seahawks

"Suholan" is the name of Iran's second largest blue
cave, located 5 kilometers from the city of Bukan in
West Azerbaijan Province. It is said that the cave
of Suholan is very similar to the cave of Alisadr
and its nature will take you to see Alisadr cave.
The cave's maximum depth is 2 meters and its average
depth is 2 meters. There is also a steep slope at
the bottom of the cave, and at the bottom is a
tunnel that experts believe is a secret way to reach
the top of the mountain. Today only its stone wall
is available and has closed over time.
Lake Marmisho

"Marmisho" is the name of a lake, located 2
kilometers west of Urmia. The Nilgan Lake feeds on
its natural springs and atmospheric flows, but
separating from the lake's visual attractions is the
abundance of wildlife such as salmon, whitefish,
bears, foxes, wolves, rabbits.
Force Macau

A church called "The Force Majeure" is right next to
a beautiful river called Zangi Snake, which, despite
its simple appearance, is highly valued; for this
reason its name is on Iran's National Heritage List
and for its UNESCO World Heritage List. Has also
